My Thoughts on Rocket Repo (Reassembly Book 1)

I enjoyed this book immensely. I enjoyed the characters, the plot twists, and the promise of more stories to come.

I especially enjoyed the main character, Geddy Starheart, a human who has another conscious being living inside him. Geddy and this construct, Eli, plan to get Eli home, but the trip there is fraught with danger and peril. Geddy and Eli meet a cast of characters on a junk trawling spaceship and go on spectacular errands, which are part of the plot’s adventures.

There were some elements of the narrative that bothered me. The curse words and idioms, which also include curse words, peppered throughout stuck out like zebras in a herd of cows. They really took me out of the narrative, but they did not quash my enjoyment.

I recommend this novel to fans of sci-fi and space opera.
