Up Next: The Graphic Novel, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow…

I probably should have realized that Supergirl (2026) was based on a graphic novel. I mean, come on, Paul! As someone who is always saying you should read the source material first, I really should have known better.

You might think a graphic novel would translate pretty naturally to the screen, panel by panel. So what went wrong with Supergirl? Maybe the parts I dismissed in the film will feel richer and more meaningful on the page. And perhaps the villain will seem a little less ridiculous, too! Here’s hoping.
